Music was always my first love. A love instilled in me by parents raising us in home that was always bustling with music. I remember being captivated by all the different album covers across my father’s collection and the different soundscapes each one produced. Combining that feeling with my art has been on my heart for a while.
I’m excited to announce my next project, The Roots of Rhythm, a lyrical picture book that takes young readers on a journey through the rich history of Black American music, from gospel and blues to jazz, R&B, rock, hip-hop, and beyond.
Through poetry, rhythm, and storytelling, children will discover how generations of creativity, resilience, and innovation helped shape the soundtrack of America.

I’m excited and nervous to share this as it is different from my past work. My new book Diffusion of truth will finally be released on July 7, 2026.
The story began with a simple question that wouldn’t leave my mind — what happens when you discover the truth you have always held is a carefully crafted lie? That idea combined with current events led me to create this dystopian fiction about a Senator who is caught between the world he’s sworn to uphold and the terrifying possibility the “truth” he believes is nothing more than an AI curation.
